Christian Carto – Philly’s Next Superstar

Bantamweight Christian Carto is set to take on Victor Ruiz at Philly Special present by Raging Babe Promotions. The 2300 Arena will be packed to brim as fans pile in to see one of the most popular fighters in the city, rivaled only perhaps by Jaron “Boots” Ennis.

Carto comes in as one of the most dynamic young fighters in the sports. He is quick and powerful, claiming 11 victories of his 17 by KO. But his 0 losses come from his defensive responsibility and ability to control the range.

Dodge. Duck. Dip. Dive. Dodge

Speed kills, there’s no doubt about it. And at the blistering fast bantamweight division, Carto’s speed still stands out. Part of his ability to control distance comes from opponent’s knowledge that closing the gap means eating at least one counter as Carto unleashes that speed on his way in.

Slipping the little left liver shot in like a nursery rhyme.

But it’s the power that sells tickets. Carto has explosive power and pin point accuracy. Even off balance he is able to land effective shots to finish off opponents.

I’m hype to see Carto again. His popularity is huge, having been in AC for his fight on the Jennings card I can tell you a good amount of the audience is there to see him. But I also accept that this might be the last time I get to see Carto on this stage. At 17-0-0 its nearly time for him to move on to larger venues and bigger fights. He will be a contender soon and if all goes well a champion.

And if you want to see that fight, you need to head out and buy tickets sooner rather than later. Carto will sell out any venue in the city and Philly Special at the 2300 Arena is selling fast. You can get your tickets here.
