Devin Haney Faces His Biggest Test To Date Against Antonio Moran

Devin Haney vs Antonio Moran

World Boxing Council International Lightweight Title

On Saturday, 25 May 2019, Devin Haney (21-0-0 13 KOs) will take on Antonio Moran (24-0-0 17 KOs) at the MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland. The lightweight bout is scheduled for 10 rounds.

The bout is for the World Boxing Council International Lightweight Title.

Haney has been impressive and unimpressive. He doesn’t lack power but he seems to enjoy playing with his food a little much. Getting rounds in is fine but eventually that mentality will catch up with a fighter. Knockouts aren’t just pretty, they are safe.

But at the same time all the skills in Haney are evident. Most of the lesser competition that he has been fighting can’t touch him.

That’s going to change this weekend. Antonio Moran is as tough as they come. If you don’t know much about him just watch his blood bath with Jose Pedraza from 2018. It was a UD loss but those two dudes took a pound of flesh from each other.

This is a huge step up for Haney. Moran has the power to hurt him, the skills to put hands on him, and the toughness to hang in there.
