Gadwin Rosa and Sulaiman Segawa Battle at Bouts on Broad 2

Puerto Rican prospect Gadwin Rosa (10-0-0 8 KOs) takes on Sulaiman Segawa (11-2-0 4 KOs) April 26th at Bouts on Broad 2 presented by Hard Hitting Promotions. The fight is being held at The Met in Philly.
Rosa, who now fights out of Ocala, FL has quickly become a Philadelphia fan favorite with his explosive knockout power as well as his hard work and positive attitude inside and outside of the ring. Rosa likes to swing hard and swing often. He relies heavily on his hook to help him open up the middle. His hooks have a way of finding the body, creating huge problems for his opponents. I still believe he is somewhat susceptible to an opponent who can come down the middle on him but so far he hasn’t been burnt on it.
Rosa is also known for participating in marathons for charity. The positive impact that has on his community is great. The conditioning required for that makes him a dangerous man in the ring when combined with his skills.
Segawa has proven himself a somewhat impressive talent as well. Segawa took on Alejandro Salinas on short notice and took a unanimous decision. He has dropped two of his last three but both to good fighters in close decisions.
I’m going to stay home with this pick. Not only because Rosa is a fan favorite but the hard work and explosive fists should be enough to take down Segawa. But don’t count out Segawa though, the man can box. And he has never been knocked down. Segawa will present the biggest challenge for Rosa to date and Rosa does run the risk of being outboxed.
