Israil Madrimov Absolutely Obliterates Frank Rojas in Verona, NY

Israil Madrimov (2-0-0 2 KOs) stopped Frank Rojas (24-3-0 23 KOs) in the 2nd round of a scheduled 10 round super welterweight contest. The fight was held on March 9th at Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, NY.

The conclusion came suddenly in the 2nd round when Madrimov landed a devastating left hook to Rojas’s chin that sent Rojas to the mat, unable to recover before the 10 count.

Rojas would end up being taken out on a stretcher. We wish him a speedy recovery (never forget boxing fans, what these guys put on the line for your entertainment). That said, Madrimov just crushed a seasoned vetern. I get it, most of Rojas’ fights have been relatively small time, but 27 professional bouts is some experience for a guy in his 2nd professional fight. Madrimov gets a big circle around his name for guys to watch after this one.

With the win, Madrimov’s record improves to 2-0-0 with 2 KOs. Rojas’s record now stands at 24-3-0. The win keeps Madrimov moving forward and we hope to see more of him in the future.
