Jose Pedraza vs Ines Antonio Lozada Torres
vacant World Boxing Organisation Latino Lightweight Title
On Saturday, 25 May 2019, Jose Pedraza (25-2-0 12 KOs) will take on Ines Antonio Lozada Torres (40-2-0 34 KOs) at the Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Florida. The lightweight bout is scheduled for 10 rounds.
The bout is for the vacant World Boxing Organisation Latino Lightweight Title.
Pedraza’s is a real pro’s pro. He’s battle tested and fought some of the best in the world. He has also lost to some of the best in the world (Vasyl Lomachenko and Gervonta Davis). He is a former 2 time titlist.
The most interesting question for me is, Is Pedraza trying to get back on the comeback trail. 135 isn’t the strongest its been once you get past Lomachenko. Jorge Linares hasn’t looked the same since losing to Loma and Mikey Garcia appears to be on the PPV Farewell portion of his career.
When you look around 135, Pedraza could be a top 3 fighter in that division.
But Lozada is a dangerous fighter. 34 knockouts in 40 wins, he can definitely crack. He resume isn’t as illustrious as Pedraza’s but its long and active. Lozada has been fighting professionally for 13 years (note, he’s only 29) and isn’t to be taken lightly.
