Manny Robles III wins Split Decision over Tough Rigoberto Hermosillo

On Thursday, 16 May 2019 Manny Robles III (17-0-0 10 KOs) defeated Rigoberto Hermosillo (11-0-1 8 KOs). The bout took place at Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California. The judges didn’t agree on the result as Robles  won but by split decision 97-92, 96-93, 94-95.

Robles was very impressive for a fighter his age. In the first round he looked like he would drop the first round before he dropped Hermosillo and cut him. Hermosillo fought back though.

These two spent tough rounds in the pocket exchanging on each other. Neither fighter was willing to back down and the scorecards reflected that.
The fight took place on a card from Golden Boy Promotions and featured in addition to this fight. With the win III’s record improves to 20-1-0 with 10 knockouts. Meanwhile Hermosillo drops to 21-2-0.
