Radzhab Butaev Knocks Out Lanardo Tyner in Hanover, MD

Salsk, Russia native Radzhab Butaev (11-0-0 9 KOs) knocked out Lanardo Tyner (35-15-2 22 KOs) on March 8th at The Maryland Live Casino in Hanover, MD. Butaev ended the night in the 3rd round of the scheduled 8 round bout after obliterating Tyner.

In the 3rd round Butaev landed a powerful left uppercut to the chin. The blow forced the referee to stop the match.

A health dose of left hooks followed by upper cuts really sent this fight packing. Butaev was landing power shots at will against Tyner. Tyner was clearly disappointed in the stoppage. He was taking a fair bit of punishment but based on this video, it does seem like he was a live fighter. The knockdown preceeding the stoppage was a factor of him opening up to attack Butaev which looked like it had some impact.

The win improved Butaev’s record to 11-0-0. Tyner’s record drops to 35-15-2.
